Iron Age Knife with Sheath
Hand forged Iron Age knife paired with buffalo leather sheath crafted by 17 year old Ellis Anhøj Calnan. The knife is made with ancient bladesmithing techniques, beginning from a single piece of textured hot forged EN9 carbon steel. The blade is heat treated, with the handle left unhardened making for an overall robust knife. It comes pre-sharpened in a handmade buffalo leather sheath bound by metal rivets. The design is loosely based on finds from the iron age; alot of these were found on the west coast of Denmark which is where Ellis’s great-granparents hail from! This makes for a great handmade gift for anyone over 18.
Dimensions: The knife measures 23cm including handle. Blade length is 11cm. Each knife is individually made so will vary slightly in size (+/- 1cm), texture and shape.
The price includes postage.
Please note this is not a course! But why not treat someone to this while they wait for a space on one of our bladesmithing courses 🙂
